WP1 Project Management and Coordination
- Duration: M1 – M36

Objectives
Ensure effective coordination, governance, and quality management throughout the project lifecycle. Establish robust communication channels between partners and with external stakeholders.
Key Activities
- Establish project governance structure including Steering Committee and operational procedures
- Develop and implement Quality Assurance Plan and Risk Management Strategy
- Coordinate three Transnational Partner Meetings (M2 Tunis, M17 Málaga, M35 Tunis)
- Manage monthly online Steering Committee meetings for progress review
- Oversee financial management and reporting to EACEA
- Ensure compliance with EU visibility requirements and contractual obligations

WP2 Laying the Foundation

Objectives
Conduct a comprehensive gender-sensitive needs assessment to understand socio-economic, cultural, and technical barriers affecting rural populations in Béja and Jendouba, with a focus on vulnerable groups, women, and female-headed households.
Key Activities
- Develop research instruments and frameworks for data collection on socio-economic realities
- Conduct 1,000 quantitative surveys across the population of Jendouba
- Perform 20+ in-depth interviews with local agricultural populations
- Conduct 10+ key informant interviews with stakeholders and women’s organisations
- Analyse existing agricultural methodologies and climate adaptation strategies
- Investigate history and current realities of participation and cooperativism in the region

Objectives
Develop a comprehensive gender-inclusive training curriculum for hydroponic agriculture and sustainable entrepreneurship, with competency-based learning outcomes aligned with labour market and VET standards.
Key Activities
- Design 7+ training modules covering hydroponic techniques and entrepreneurship
- Define competency-based learning outcomes aligned with EQF and ESCO frameworks
- Develop assessment and certification frameworks ensuring international recognition
- Integrate digital tools and e-learning resources into the curriculum
- Validate training through expert reviews and community focus groups
- Incorporate 5+ gender-sensitive approaches into training methodologies

WP4 Capacity Building for VET Trainers

Objectives
Enhance the institutional and professional capacity of VET centres and trainers in Tunisia to deliver high-quality, gender-perspective hydroponics training programmes by 2027.
Key Activities
- Deliver Train-the-Trainer programme for VET instructors on hydroponic techniques
- Conduct training on gender-sensitive and inclusive teaching methodologies
- Organise study visits to European partner institutions (Spain, Italy, Czechia)
- Provide hands-on workshops combining theory with practical hydroponic systems
- Integrate sustainability concepts into trainer competencies
- Assess and certify trainer proficiency through practical evaluations

WP5 VET Training and Cooperative Development
- Duration: M27 – M33

Objectives
Train and certify 60 participants (at least 50% women) in hydroponic farming and sustainable entrepreneurship, implementing a pilot programme to enhance rural women’s skills and establish a functional agricultural cooperative in Tunisia.
Key Activities
- Recruit and select 60 participants from Béja and Jendouba regions
- Deliver 8 comprehensive training sessions on hydroponic agriculture
- Provide practical hands-on experience with hydroponic systems
- Train participants in cooperative governance and financial management
- Establish and register one functional agricultural cooperative
- Facilitate market linkages and economic opportunities for participants

Objectives
Ensure the visibility, dissemination, and sustainability of the project’s outcomes through strategic communication, knowledge sharing, and community engagement, amplifying impact and fostering replication in other regions.
Key Activities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication and dissemination plan
- Create unified project visual identity, logo, and communication templates
- Manage project website, social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok)
- Organise 2 national multiplier events in Tunisia (Jendouba and Tunis)
- Organise 1 international multiplier event with full consortium presence
- Partner with local radio stations for community outreach in Jendouba region
- Develop tools and strategies for replicating best practices in other communities
